Family owned and operated right here in Royal Oak, Michigan, HighNote Production has been in the live production business for over 15 years.  We have provided staging, lighting, & sound for all kinds of events here in Metro Detroit, and throughout Michigan, as well as events in Ohio, New York, South Carolina, and Florida!

The beginning

Over 25 years ago, Bob Jensen started a band called Skyline & The Backstreet Horns.  In addition to leading the band, Bob also purchased, set up, and ran the sound and lighting equipment for the band.  As Skyline became more popular, Bob continued to upgrade the equipment.  Before long, he had filled his garage with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment.  It was then that he realized he could put that equipment to work, and he started his own production company.  For years the company had no official name (other than “Bob Jensen’s cell phone number”).  Bob continued to acquire new equipment, and bigger trucks to move it all from venue to venue.  Eventually the operation grew too large for one man to handle, so Bob recruited his son Levi Jensen.

It soon became clear that the company needed a name.  In addition to being a band leader and production company owner, Bob Jensen is one of the top-call lead trumpet players in the state of Michigan.  He plays lead trumpet for the Motor City Horns with Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band (Bob Seger calls him “Screechy Bob”).  Being that he is no stranger to high notes on his trumpet, it only seemed natural that his production company be named HighNote Production.
